The Slaughter Motorsport team towed to Sydney Dragway with the hope that preparation for the pending Sydney Jamboree would be successful. Off the trailer the team MK3 scorched out of the hole, lighting the timing boards up with a 1.003 60 foot time, with Ben rolling off the throttle before half track and rolling through for a solid half track check post all the recent changes.
The team prepped the car again, and towed around for another test hit, a solid burnout followed by another 1.0 60 foot saw smiles on the teams face, with Ben well into the throttle, until the 5th gear shift was a non event, the Supra rolled through for a 7.50 @ 154mph, and those numbers mean it was really hooking before the failure.
